Description
We produce this spirit by making cider, then double distilling. It’s then laid down in new, small, medium toasted, European Oak barrels for more than five years. After being aged in oak, it really comes into its own. This is where it becomes what, in France, would be termed Calvados but here it is called Cider Brandy and it’s one of our most popular spirits. For years we have sold a one-year-old and a two-year-old and this month we have finally bottled our lovely five-year old cider brandy!
Our chief taster Geraldine describes it as: “Golden-amber in colour with dark chocolate and toffee on the nose. On the palate, caramel and a hint of liquorice and pepper. A long warm finish. Our after-dinner Brandy.”
Presented in 250ml bottles with an ABV of 40%.
